Garden Goodness








I planted my first garden this year at this house. I had a small patch when we lived on the hill...but not much more than strawberries and tomatoes. I was a bit late getting the plants and seeds into the ground. Finally I am harvesting enough to enjoy.

My 2009 Garden:

  • Basil
  • Chives
  • Cilantro
  • Tomatoes (12 plants)
  • Zucchini
  • Yellow Squash
  • Acorn(Winter) Squash
  • Cucumbers ( green & lemon)
  • Bell peppers (green & red)
  • Watermelons
  • Cantaloupe
  • Honey Dew
  • Sunflowers

You could have placed your cantalope under the 2 english muffins and it would have been the morning after picture of a celebration. Nice harvest for a first year. Love&Hugs

Looks wonderful!!! This gardening bit is quite rewarding, relaxing, challenging... Definitely a permentent fixture in our summer lives.

I love that you are reaping the rewards of gardening! I always thought that I would enjoy gardening and I do - but the flower kind is more my style. Mark does the vegetable garden and he is as proud of it as he is the boys. Everyone who comes over, he takes them out and shows them the fuits of his labors. We have about 18 pumpkins coming in nicely right now and the boys are already claiming which ones are theirs!
